Expression of Interest

Proposals for Discovery Translation Fund funding are evaluated through a two stage process, which commences with an Expression of Interest (EOI). If you would like to be considered for funding under the Discovery Translation Fund, please submit the EOI form below. The information contained in the EOI will be used to evaluate your progression to the next application stage, and following the review of your EOI by the DTF Evaluation Committee you may be invited to submit a formal application for funding.

Confidentiality

Please note that information collected in this EOI form is required for external reporting obligations and cannot be treated as confidential. Ensure that no commercially or technically sensitive information is included. All other information and material revealed in discussions with ANU Connect Ventures or a refereeing organisation will be treated as confidential unless otherwise agreed.

Please confirm your eligibility for DTF funding by acknowledging your compliance with the following criteria:

The organisation has rights to all intellectual property (IP) required to complete the project and rights to commercialise any IP generated by the project.
Project outcomes will have lasting benefit to the ACT
The project meets any applicable regulatory requirements
The project cannot be completed without the support of the ANU Connect Ventures Discovery Translation Fund
The applicant has not previously received funds from the ANU-MTAA Super Venture Capital Partnership
The applicant agrees, if successful, to be bound by the DTF Grant Agreement (available for review on request)

Provide a non-confidential description of the project in no more than three pages, or approximately 1500 words. Particular attention should be given to addressing merit criteria, including: * A summary of the technology or concept in plain English, including how the IP is protected and its ownership; * The current state of technology development, and where it sits on the proposed commercial pathway; * The commercial case, defined market and unmet need for the technology; * The key activities proposed for DTF funding to progress the technology on the commercial pathway; and * Potential benefit to the ACT.
