About Us

ANU Connect Ventures manages two funds: The Discovery Translation Fund  which aims to support research with commercial potential from The Australian National University, the University of Canberra and Charles Sturt University in undertaking crucial proof-of-concept work; and the $27 million Seed Investment fund for the ANU-MTAA Super Venture Capital Partnership.

The Seed Investment Fund was established with the support of the ACT Government to invest in promising commercial opportunities arising out of the ANU research, other ACT-based research institutions and local R&D companies. The Team

ANU Connect Ventures employs a team of investment managers with experience in a broad range of sectors including life sciences, healthcare, engineering and physical sciences.

The Board

Operations are overseen by a Board of Directors representing the founding partners of the investment fund: ANU and MTAA. Additionally, the board includes an independent Chair.

The Evaluation Committee

(Discovery Translation Fund
Funding recommendations for the Discovery Translation Fund are made by an Evaluation Committee with representation including ANUCV, the ANU Technology Transfer Office, the University of Canberra and Charles Sturt University.

The Investment Committee

(Seed Investment Fund)
Investment decisions for the seed fund are made by the Investment Committee. The committee includes five members with strong backgrounds in venture capital, innovation and investment.
